Uncomfortable for walking

I wanted to love this pair because I have been buying HP for a long time now and believe in their craftsmanship and durability. It is your standard functional, no frills shoes that instantly speak of leather and durability. Alas, the second time I wore this pair two days ago where I went malling and walked and stood a lot, my feet hurt. I wear size 7 and ordered 7W because the toebox appeared tight in the photos. True enough, the 7W was just right across the toebox. But as I walked, my feet kept sliding forward and my big toe rubbed against the shoe. The arch of my feet ached that walking became pretty uncomfortable. I was wearing a silky foot cover without traction so maybe it exacerbated the discomfort. Next time I will wear a foot cover that has some rubber dots on the soles for traction. It might minimize the problem. But I am not likely going to wear this for a lot of walking and standing.
